Saul of Tarsus was a persecutor of the early Christians. Utterly convinced he was right, he set out to destroy the Church before it could spread. Then, on the road to Damascus, he encountered Christ.
What followed was the most important conversion in the history of the Church. The same zeal that once drove Saul to hunt Christians became the fire that carried Paul across the ancient world, bringing the Gospel to nations that had never heard of it.
Through imprisonments, shipwrecks, and martyrdom, nothing proved greater than his love for Christ. Paul’s letters shaped Christian theology, his missions built the early Church, and his witness still reaches millions.
