Marking the 800th anniversary of St. Francis’ death and the Franciscan Jubilee Year proclaimed by Pope Leo, our monthly box features The Life of St. Francis of Assisi paired with exclusive devotional items.

“Francis —
Rebuild my church.”

“Francis —
Rebuild my church.”

“Francis — Rebuild my church.”

Francis was the son of a wealthy merchant who wanted to find worldly glory by becoming a knight. But one day, while praying in front of a cross  in San Damiano, he heard God calling him to rebuild His Church. He rebuilt San Damiano, then San Pietro and the Porziuncola, with his own hands.

Only later Francis would understand that command meant something greater than three buildings. Embracing poverty and obedience, he devoted his life to becoming like Christ. His inner transformation sparked a movement that would help reform the Church and inspire Catholics around the world for hundreds of years after his death.

St. Bonaventure was one of the most respected theologians of his time. Known as the  Seraphic Doctor, he was Minister General of the Franciscan Order, and a Doctor of the Church. His authority, however, isn’t merely academic, it’s deeply personal, since he was healed of a life-threatening illness as a child through Francis' direct intercession.

Our edition pairs the Legenda Major with The Journey of the Mind into God, also written by St. Bonaventure around the year 1259, after a period of recollection on Mount La Verna, the same place where Francis received the stigmata. The Life of St. Francis presents the concrete example of a soul transformed by grace, and The Journey of the Mind into God offers the theological path that makes such transformation possible.

Crafted with care in every detail, from the premium materials to the rich symbolism each one carries, and delivered straight to your door.

The Life of St. Francis of Assisi is one treasure among many. This book sets the tone for the year ahead — twelve months of beauty, prayer, devotion — the slow, deliberate work of a strong formation.

The Imitation of Christ is built
around short chapters which work as meditations, examinations of conscience, and prayers.

Each passage is meant to be reflected on, so it’s not a book you race through. It’s a companion for a lifetime, one you return to again and again.

The book is absolutely stunning! The front image alone could lead the reader to ponder and contemplate. I cannot wait to see what is inside it and read it. Thank you for creating such intentional beauty.
