From her foreshadowing in Genesis, to the Gospel where Elizabeth greets her as blessed among women. Mary herself foretells that all generations will call her blessed, and from the cross Jesus gives her to us as our mother.

St. Louis de Montfort called the True Devotion to Our Lady the easy, short, perfect, and secure path to holiness.

The manuscript that went lost for over a century

The Treatise on True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin was written between 1712 and 1715, near the end of Montfort’s life, but sat in a chest for over a century. The manuscript wasn’t found until 1842, when a priest of Montfort’s own order recognized it by chance while going through old papers.

The book's publication was of paramount importance, reigniting Marian devotion at a moment it was fading away. Since then, St. Louis de Montfort’s conviction of Mary’s role in our salvation has been instrumental in reminding Christians of their need for Our Lady.

St. Louis de Montfort was beatified in 1888 and canonized by Pope Pius XII in 1947, marking his fundamental role in spreading the devotion that leads us straight to Christ.

Montfort depicts this path in his book, essentially divided into two parts:
